MS, MA, Doctoral ExternEmail »manderson@waypointwellnesscenter.com

I am a Licensed Psychology Associate in Maryland and doctoral extern working under the supervision of Dr. Allyson Kett. I have earned master’s degrees in both Clinical Psychology and Forensic Psychology from Stevenson University and Arizona State University and am currently a full-time student working towards my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Stevenson University. I primarily work with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families, with a range of presenting problems with various levels of severity, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, self-esteem and other mood related concerns, relationship/academic difficulties, ADHD/executive dysfunction, autism, behavioral issues, difficulties with stress management and role transitions, and other life stressors. I aim to provide a therapeutic environment that emphasizes an individual’s strengths and promotes a collaborative and flexible process. I believe that therapy is a space for exploration and growth, and an opportunity to develop a wide array of skills. My goal is to tailor that space and opportunity to the needs and goals of each client and do so in a manner that is culturally informed, encouraging, supportive and empowering. My style incorporates a blend of interpersonal and values-oriented work, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. In addition, I also have experience in psychological, neuropsychological, and psycho-educational testing.

Professional Experience

I have served clients in a variety of clinical settings, including Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, University of Maryland School of Medicine, and Kennedy Krieger Institute. I have experience providing individual and family therapy, facilitating social skills groups, and conducting various assessments. I currently work in a school-based setting, providing a warm, welcoming, and relaxed environment to school-aged children to help them succeed and reach their full potential. My undergraduate work was completed at Towson University with a specialization in psychology and family studies.

Life Outside of the Office

I currently live in Anne Arundel County and enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I try to participate in self-care activities as much as I can that include going on walks, listening to music, exercising, and reading.
