I am a MD Psychology Associate and a doctoral extern working under the supervision of Dr. Tana Clarke. I am pursuing my doctoral degree at George Washington University and have obtained my Master’s of General Psychology at SUNY-Stony Brook University. I am empathetic, light-hearted, and humorous in my clinical work with patients. I am a therapist who prides themselves on bringing my whole self into the therapy room. I believe that therapy only works when I approach it with honesty and my true self and I believe that in a therapeutic space, being a human comes first. Every problem that a patient brings up in a session, we are finding a way to process it together as a team. I meet the patient where they are in their wellness journey to provide attainable and plausible goals. I approach therapy from a psychodynamic perspective, but also utilize CBT, DBT, and ACT in my treatment.
Professional Experience
My experience revolves around outpatient clinical work as well as college counseling centers. I have had the privilege of being an extern at the George Washington Center Clinic, providing psychodynamic care to teenagers, young adults, and adults going through life changes. I have also provided care at the GW Hillel, where the primary demographic was college students. I have also helped lead crisis groups, executive functioning groups, and stress workshops during finals’ season. I also have experience with psychological and psycho-educational testing/assessment, with most of my experience revolving around attention deficit and school accommodations. However, I have worked with a plethora of different tests.
Life Outside the Office
I live in Alexandria with my cat and love to watch tv, bake, and recently got back into reading! I also love traveling to New York to spend time with my partner and family.
Linda is no longer accepting new patients and will be leaving us in June for her doctoral internship in New York!
