I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Maryland. In addition, I am credentialed by the National Association of Social Workers as an ACSW. I received my graduate degree from the University of Maryland where I completed an internship at a residential treatment center for adolescent males with psychiatric and behavioral disorders.
Professional Experience
After completing my Masters of Social Work degree, I spent the next eight years working in non-public schools serving adolescents, and their families, with psychiatric and behavioral disorders, and then entered private practice. I have worked in the private practice setting for over 20 years. I continue a relationship with non-public schools on a part-time basis as a family therapist.
I work with individuals, couples and families. I have extensive experience with a wide range of clinical issues with various levels of severity, including: depression, anxiety disorders, behavioral/adolescent challenges, school related issues, stress management, parenting, and women’s issues.
I practice an integrative approach to psychotherapy, focusing on a client’s cognitive, behavioral, and psychological presentation as well as their family, social, and spiritual support system. I am goal oriented and believe collaborating with other health professionals is critical to providing excellent care.
